Literature Text

oh moon how hast thine night been
with thee i have seen you eyes of sliver and diamonds dancing across the sea that is the night
hath foretold in Beethoven's sonata i have seen thy beauty and grace
driven to such passion as to writ this tale about your beauty
i feel thy light brighten as the sun hath set across the horizon, like a child who hath gone to sleep, to dream of happy things
then moon you dance across the sky. in a dress of starlight with the darkness of night as your partner
the night wanes on as you dance until the owl cries out that the dawn approaches
then oh moon you must rest
